Privacy policy

A small site should have a small data footprint.

This policy describes the site code reviewed on August 25, 2026 and the limited technical data that hosting and security infrastructure may process.

Effective

Current site behavior

The site code reviewed for this policy does not include visitor accounts, a newsletter, a contact form, advertising technology, third-party analytics, or code that intentionally sets browser cookies. Local page scripts support interface features such as filtering research lists.

Infrastructure still handles request data Loading any website sends technical information to the systems that deliver and protect it. When Riot Updates is served through Cloudflare, infrastructure may process information such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device headers, and security signals. Riot Updates has not added a separate public analytics product to the reviewed site code.

Scope

This policy applies to visits to riotupdates.com. It does not govern Riot Games, Tencent, cited publications, social platforms, or another external website reached through a source link. Those services have their own data practices.

Information that may be processed

Website requests. Hosting, network, and security systems may receive ordinary request data needed to transmit pages, resist abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain service reliability. The exact fields and retention depend on the infrastructure configuration and provider settings in use.

Messages. If an email channel is activated, a message will include the address, headers, content, and attachments chosen by the sender. Messages may be retained as needed to evaluate a correction, answer an inquiry, prevent abuse, or preserve an editorial record.

No form submissions in the reviewed build. The current site has no contact form, account registration, comments, purchases, or newsletter signup. Do not send confidential or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and a working contact route has been confirmed.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The reviewed site code does not intentionally set cookies and does not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts. This statement is limited to the build reviewed on the effective date. If those practices change, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before the change is enabled.

Why technical data may be used

  • to deliver requested pages and files;
  • to protect the site and visitors from abuse or attacks;
  • to diagnose reliability, compatibility, or security problems;
  • to respond to a message after a public contact route is activated; and
  • to meet applicable legal obligations.

Riot Updates does not intentionally sell or rent visitor profiles. The reviewed site code does not create advertising profiles.

Service providers and external links

Riot Updates is intended to use Cloudflare for website delivery and security. Service providers process technical data under their own agreements and policies. Clicking an external citation tells that destination that a browser requested its page; Riot Updates does not control the destination’s collection, cookies, or retention.

Retention and security

Provider-level log availability and retention depend on the selected Cloudflare services and account configuration. This policy does not claim a retention period that has not been configured and verified. Any activated email route should be protected with appropriate account security, and messages should not be kept longer than reasonably needed for the purpose they serve.

No internet service can promise absolute security. Riot Updates should review infrastructure settings and this policy whenever a new analytics, form, advertising, payment, account, or communication feature is proposed.

Questions and privacy requests

Rights may vary by location. A person may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information they believe Riot Updates controls, subject to applicable exceptions and the ability to verify the request. The intended email route is identified on the contact page, but it is not represented as operational until Cloudflare Email Routing has been activated and tested.

Policy changes

Material changes should be posted here with a new effective date. A change in the site’s actual data practices should not precede the corresponding policy and consent review.
