Arcane has eighteen episodes across two seasons
CompletedBoth seasons and all six acts have released. Licensed episode records list nine episodes per season.
Official-source status · checked September 10, 2026
No third season is announced. Season Two was presented as Arcane's planned conclusion; Riot's separate ambition to tell more Runeterra stories does not turn a region, cinematic, or character into a confirmed series.
This tracker reports announcements. It does not predict unannounced productions.
No official Arcane Season 3 has been announced. Riot said the team worked toward a clear ending and that Season Two would close the Arcane story. Netflix described Season Two as the second and final season. Those statements support “the series concluded,” not “Netflix canceled an ordered third season.”
The useful distinction is not simply “real” versus “rumor.” It is completed history, direct statement, early development, cinematic, dated absence check, or unsupported inference.

Riot said the story had a clear ending and Season Two would close it; Netflix called Season Two final. Neither source documents a canceled, ordered third season.
Riot described other film and television projects as early work. That does not establish which region, characters, format, distributor, or release date will survive development.
Fortiche explicitly rejected the series-trailer interpretation. Its Arcane-linked style and characters are not a television announcement.
No reviewed first-party page supplies a confirmed title, order, cast, platform, trailer, or release date for any of these fan-discussed possibilities.

How the status developed
Riot's June 2024 update put two ideas beside each other: Arcane had a specific ending, and Runeterra had room for additional stories. The first statement closes this series. The second leaves a broader screen strategy open. Treating them as contradictory creates a rumor that the sources do not.
Netflix reinforced the first point in its Season Two materials, repeatedly calling the season final. Riot and Fortiche later continued collaborating on game cinematics and music videos. Those works demonstrate an active relationship, but medium matters: a cinematic is not automatically a pilot, and a music video is not a renewal.
Fortiche's March 2025 Welcome to Noxus article is especially useful because the studio directly addressed the inference: it said the film was not a trailer for a new series. A careful tracker keeps that denial attached to the cinematic instead of treating visual similarity as confirmation.
The next status change should come from a direct Riot, Netflix, Fortiche, or announced distribution-partner record. Until then, there is no responsible basis for a release year, episode count, character roster, title, or “in production” label.
No Arcane Season 3 announcement was found in the Riot news index, Netflix Arcane hub or Fortiche projects list reviewed September 10, 2026. Netflix continues to identify Season 2 as the final season.
The reviewed primary sources do not describe that outcome. Riot said the team had a clear ending and that Season 2 would conclude Arcane; Netflix called it the second and final season.
No announcement supports that claim. Fortiche explicitly described Welcome to Noxus as a cinematic and said it was not a trailer for a new series.
Riot has said other film and television projects were in early development and that Arcane was the beginning of a larger storytelling journey. That is not the same as a named show, cast, platform, or release date.
The strongest Arcane material is already public: two seasons, a detailed making-of record, complete episode data, and a documented effect on League canon.
